Conquest FAQ

Q: Will this version expire sometime in the future?

A: Conquest 1.0.x is for-sale product. The game comes with a built in demo-period. During this period you can use the game without paying for it. Once the demo-period has expired to continue playing the game, you must pay for it.

Q: Will it be possible to have the game track all of the stock purchases for me so that I don't have to remember what each player purchased?

A: There is an "All" button on the game board. This button will show a screen with all of the stock holdings of all current players for each company.

Q: Will we be able to play against Human Players as well as Computer Players?

A: Unfortunately, we were not able to include the feature where you can play against other human players. Hopefully, this feature will be in a later version.

Q: I get my butt kicked when I play Acquire, but I'm winning easily in Conquest. Does the Computer Player just suck, or what?

A: We have improved the computer AI and there are two levels, Easy and Challenging.

Q: What is the meaning of the numbers in the "Major" column?

A: The value in the "Major" column, indicates what the Major shareholder bonus will be if that company was to merge. The Minor shareholder bonus is always 1/2 of the Major shareholder bonus and the Cost per Share is always 1/10 of the Major shareholder bonus.

Q: I play the Acquire game all the time and I noticed that your colors and company names are different than the ones used in the game. Can you make the colors and names match those in the original Acquire game?

A: We decided to keep the colors and names we picked for Conquest.

Q: How do I make the game not plays sounds (since I play during company meetings)?

A: Go to the preferences and uncheck the box marked "Play sounds during game".

Q: I want to extend the game for as long as possible, how do I do that?

A: Normally the Computer Players have the option of ending the game. Go to the preferences and uncheck the box marked "Computer can End Game". You will then have complete control of when the game can end.

Q: Message Speed: either, "I can't read the messages because they are too fast!" or "I can't stand how slow the computer takes its turn".

A: You can adjust the speed of the messages in the Preferences from Slow, Normal, to Fast. Also, during the game if you have already read a message and just want to skip to the next one, just tap on the screen.
